Meet Lauren Crotty at Reaching Resolution in Charlotte, Matthews NC

She is currently a Masters-level intern in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. She has dual Bachelor’s in Science degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of Miami. After graduation and licensure, she plans on pursuing her AASECT certification and obtaining a specialization in Sex Therapy.

Lauren believes that we are whole persons with multiple aspects (i.e., biological, physical, psychological, emotional, etc.) that make us who we are. One theory or perspective may not be enough to accommodate all our unique needs in this holistic stance. She is committed to using an integrative approach of psychological perspectives and theories that will be used specifically for the client’s individual needs.

She pulls from the perspective of psychodynamic therapy, person-centered therapy, and humanistic therapy most often when working with clients. Therapy is a collaborative relationship between the client and therapist. As such, she believes in working together with clients to empower them in building the skills to manage their concerns and work towards their goals.
