LCMHCA

Hi, I'm Lauren – it's great to connect with you!

I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate here at Reaching Resolution. I'm passionate about supporting children, teens, adults, and couples as they navigate life’s many challenges—including anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and major life transitions.

I earned my dual undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of Miami, followed by a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University in Chicago. This foundation provides me with a comprehensive understanding of human behavior, mental health, and well-being.

Work with Children & Teens

I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents, helping them build emotional awareness, confidence, and resilience. With teens in particular, I support those navigating identity development, academic and social stress, family conflict, anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges. My approach is centered on creating a space where young clients feel safe, seen, and empowered to express themselves and grow.

Individual Adult Therapy

In my work with individual adults, I help clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are navigating major life changes—such as career shifts, breakups, grief, or questions of identity and purpose. I offer a compassionate, client-centered space to explore these challenges, drawing from approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, psychodynamic insight, and narrative therapy. I also work with individuals on issues related to self-worth, boundary-setting, perfectionism, and emotional regulation.

I'm particularly passionate about supporting clients in areas related to sexuality, intimacy, and self-discovery—offering guidance that is nonjudgmental, affirming, and deeply respectful of your values and lived experience.

Couples Therapy

I work with couples across all relationship structures—including monogamous, polyamorous, and ethically non-monogamous partnerships—who are seeking to strengthen connection, resolve conflict, or navigate life changes together. Whether you're facing communication issues, infidelity, sexual dissatisfaction, or a sense of disconnection, I provide a supportive, neutral space where both partners can feel heard and validated.

My approach to couples therapy is collaborative, emotionally attuned, and goal-oriented. We’ll work together to uncover unhelpful patterns, improve communication and emotional intimacy, and rebuild trust where needed. I support couples through transitions such as parenthood, loss, blending families, and exploring or redefining relationship agreements. Each relationship is unique, and I tailor our work to fit your dynamic and goals.
