Mary Maddox is the supervised visitation monitor at Reaching Resolution, bringing to the role a decade-long record of trauma-informed work with children, youth, and families. A cum laude graduate of Daemen College with a BS in Health Science, Mary layers her formal training (including North Carolina Child Welfare Pre-Service, SafeZone, Common Sense Parenting, Parents as Teachers, and Red Cross CPR/AED certifications) onto a career shaped by hands-on roles in prevention social work, family navigation, youth shelter counseling, and court-ordered visitation services. 

Mary uses a warm approach in her supervision style to strengthen families. Previously, as a Family Navigator with EnCompass Learning Resources, she delivered wrap-around services for families facing severe trauma, substance-use disorders, and mental-health challenges,as well as  organized community partnerships, launching a Parent Advisory Board, and leading evidence-based parenting curricula. Her earlier work as an overnight shelter counselor for homeless and runaway youth and as a visitation specialist supporting families affected by abuse further refined her crisis-intervention, conflict-resolution, and life-skills coaching capabilities.

Whether coordinating holistic supports for families at Cabarrus County Social Services, guiding parents through evidence-based curricula at EnCompass Learning Resources, or answering crisis calls overnight for runaway and homeless teens, she has honed a calm, client-centric approach that blends empathy with clear safety protocols. At Reaching Resolution she supervises parent–child visits, both on-site and on-location, ensuring a secure, nurturing environment while coaching caregivers toward healthier interactions, continuing her commitment to helping families build resilience and move forward together.
