Dr. Tracy Masiello, PhD, LCMHCS, CDC, is the founder and president of Reaching Resolution PLLC, a mental health practice serving children, adults, and families in Matthews and Charlotte, NC. She is a licensed clinical mental health counselor supervisor who helps clients navigate emotional, relational, and family challenges with clarity, compassion, and care.

At Reaching Resolution, Dr. Masiello provides therapy services for children, adolescents, adults, and families, with particular experience supporting children with ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and other emotional or behavioral concerns. She also works with families navigating separation, divorce, and high-conflict family dynamics, offering thoughtful, developmentally informed care tailored to each client’s needs.  In addition to traditional therapy modalities, Dr. Masiello is trained in equine-assisted psychotherapy and may incorporate a horse into sessions when it supports the client’s therapeutic goals. 

Dr. Masiello’s clinical work is grounded in developmental psychology, ethical practice, and a deep respect for the complexity of family systems. Clients often seek her out for her calm, structured approach to therapy and her ability to help families move forward during periods of significant transition.

In addition to providing therapy in Matthews and Charlotte NC, Dr. Masiello serves families in court-involved roles, including as a state-certified mediator for Superior and District (Family) Courts, an experienced parenting coordinator, and a certified divorce coach and child specialist. This experience allows her to support clients at the intersection of mental health and legal systems while maintaining clear therapeutic boundaries and a client-centered focus.

Dr. Masiello holds a doctorate in psychology with concentrations in counseling and developmental psychology and remains actively engaged in clinical practice. Alongside her client work, she serves the broader mental health profession as an approved continuing education provider, a clinical supervisor for newly licensed clinicians, and a group practice owner. She is also the developer of the field’s only comprehensive Reunification Therapy Certification Program, designed to help therapists approach complex, court-involved cases with confidence and ethical clarity.

Her professional background includes published research in peer-reviewed journals, books, and professional reports, as well as experience as a recipient of multiple federal research grants. She currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Social, Behavioral and Health Sciences and reviews for the Association for Play Therapy’s Play Magazine. While her work also includes professional training and continuing education for therapists, her clinical practice remains rooted in providing thoughtful, individualized care to clients and families in Matthews, NC and the surrounding communities.

Outside of the therapy office, Dr. Masiello enjoys trail riding on horseback, spending time with her dogs, and being with family, experiences that inform the grounded, human-centered approach she brings to her work with clients.
